What to you all think of the way the war has affected the main characters in TTTC? In other words, how has it brought out different aspects of characters' personalities that had previously been latent?
I think it definitely brought out the worst in them. When Tim was obsessed with getting revenge on Jorgenson, he talked about how the war had made him a cruel and angry person. They were all affected in similar ways.
I agree with Audra, I think that war in general allows the evil in men to come out. And, if you believe in that all men are capable of evil, then it is obvious that such awfulness of personality would come out when men are put in awful situations, such as in war. ~Emily Jestus
